Advancing accessibility in online education remains a top priority!
Educational technology continues to evolve and grow in extraordinary ways, and with that change comes greater accessibility for all users. This is why Connect For Education (C4E) continues to invest time and resources into enhancing our content’s accessibility.
Our resident Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS), Anne Barrat, has worked with hundreds of educators and institutions to provide accessibility documentation and develop pathways for students of all abilities to access their C4E course materials more effectively. These remediations have led to countless improvements in our courseware deliverability overall and will allow us to improve our content on a regular basis.
In an effort to maintain the highest level of accessibility, we are excited to announce that Anne has acquired her Trusted Tester Certification from the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Office of Accessible Systems and Technologies (DHS-OAST) to provide accurate Revised Section 508 conformance testing and reporting for web content. This certification verifies Anne’s ability to test and measure our courseware’s conformance with federal accessibility requirements and integrate these standards into our development lifecycle.
Please join us in congratulating Anne on her latest achievement and helping Connect For Education create engaging content for all learners!
