Meet Our New Web Accessibility Specialist!
Unlike most educational publishers, Connect For Education (C4E) began its journey producing course materials exclusively for online learning and has remained focused in this pursuit for over 15 years. We have worked continuously in partnership with postsecondary stakeholders to align our digital content with the needs and desires of institutions, academic departments, and their students. Our dedication to creating challenging and stimulating online learning experiences has led us develop innovative ways of delivering our course materials to every student – even those with learning disabilities.
In an effort to ensure our courseware is compliant with web accessibility standards, we are excited to announce that C4E’s Technical Support Specialist, Anne Barrat has become a certified Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS) – a certification awarded by the International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP). The IAAP Web Accessibility Specialist certification validates Anne’s detailed technical knowledge about the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) guidelines and other related web accessibility topics.
Anne is an invaluable resource in our efforts to continually evaluate the accessibility of our existing and future courses according to published technical standards and guidelines. We are very proud to have someone who is passionate about making sure our content is accessible and impactful to students with disabilities. Join us in congratulating Anne in this wonderful achievement!
